I used 6×6 inch paper to start with.

Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii 1 piece of 6×6 inch colour paper for the cover, 4 peices of white for the pages. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold one of the white squares in half. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Cut the square in half using the last crease… Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Align one of the half’s onto the other squares, and cut the whole lot at once… or you could do one by one. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii A bunch of halfs! you will need 7 to make a book with 10 pages. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold a half in half again Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold it again Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii And twice more, so it looks liek a spikey number 3, or a W. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Do all 7 pieces. Make sure they are all one way up. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii An easy mistake, make sure you don’t join them like this. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Join them so that the right hand one over laps the left. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Keep joining them together, you can see that the far left edge will be tucked into the cover. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii They are all joined. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii I like to squash mine, and optionally glue them together where they join. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii You should have this. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Cut the coloured paper for the cover in half. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Take the clip off the pages and wrap the cover around them. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii It should be like a sandwich! align it so that you have equal space on each side and equal lengths for to tuck in. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii You can squash the spine of the book now. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Here is where you crease the spine. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold one edge over and make a crease. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Unfold. You can further define these creases and make sure they are even. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold this flap over at the last crease you made. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold the cover and align the 2 edges together. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold the other flap over so that it is the same length as the other one. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii This is what you should have. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Make sure that your pages fit in perfectly and re-fold it if its too long. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Hold the pages in the centre of the cover. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii with a pen or pencil, mark where the book comes up to Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii This is where you cut. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold these flaps in. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Fold the 2 flaps in so you get this. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Slot the far left end of the pages into the cover. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii You should have this, Slot the other end in to the cover. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii It will spring out like this! Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Mine was a bit too long on one edge so I unfolded it and made it shorter. Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii Here is what you should have, and here is how small it is compared to the 6×6 inch paper! Mini Origami Book Tutorial via @paper_kawaii You should squash your books somewhere so that they loose they’re springiness!!! You can see that different sized paper will make lots of different sized books, it is very addicting.
