Origami Masu Box Star Variation Tutorial

Origami Masu Box Star Variation Tutorial via @paper_kawaii

Learn how to make a pretty star variation of the origami masu box. Instead of folding the flaps in at the end, they are folded back out. This is a pretty easy box to make.

If you stick the flaps down, it will make a nice lid as well. The little slots at the end are a nice finish (and total fluke).
If you don’t stick the flaps down, you can fan them out, so that from the top you can see they look like stars. ✦

It could also look like a crown or flower with the flaps sticking upwards. For a box that looks more like a crown, check out this tutorial.
